Homemade Glitter Ornaments

If you haven't already tried this idea, I highly reccomend it. I have been making these ornaments for three years and they have turned out so cute!

You Will Need:
  • Clear glass ball ornaments (found at any craft store, and I used the 5in. balls).
  • Pledge Floor Wax/Cleaner
  • Saran Wrap
  • Assorted glitter (super fine glitter works the best)
  • Paper/plastic funnel
  • OPTIONAL: vinyl, cricut, grosgrain ribbon, hot glue gun

DIRECTIONS:
  1. You simply remove the metal topper, rinse them with alcohol and let them dry over night.
  2. After they're dry, pour in about a tablespoon of pledge floor wax. Cover the topper hole with saran wrap and shake to coat the inside with the pledge wax. Poor out the excess.
  3. Next add your glitter (it's easier if you use a funnel) to the inside of the ornament. You'll need about a tablespoon to adequately coat the inside. Cover the hole with saran wrap again and shake to evenly coat the entire inside. Dump out extra glitter.
  4. Let dry over night, then replace the metal topper! Voila!

I used acrylic paint inside a few of them and then added Christmas sayings I'd cut out on my cricut. This particular one was on the Cricut Christmas Cheer cartridge. The bow on top is just assorted grosgrain ribbon hotglued to the metal topper!
